i hawaii the private schools have weird schedules for breaks like my school has short breaks but a really long summer vacation, it's christian so we get more holidays off too dunno about australia though.... u should check the school's website that you're looking to join

I went private - and yes stack more materials, better education opportunity's, Education facilities , before ad after school activities and a higher sense of moral and values for later life

Im in Sth Australia - and yes here there are differences. Private are more likely to have more equipment but less playtimes. More structured days. State have less funding and less equipment and the kids in preschool learn through play. Id go State all the way. They have enough time in the Educational Institution as they go thru school. Let bubs be bubs and learn to socialise and follow simple rules until the damands of formal schooling is required.
