Jeet Kune Do schools in Australia, Sydney, Eastern Suburbs or CBD

Jeet Kune Do schools in Australia, Sydney, Eastern Suburbs or CBD?
Are there any instructors or schools for Jeet Kune Do in Australia. AND don't tell me to google it, cos I have, but I realized that sometimes places teach Jeet Kune Do but don't specialize. So they don't advertise it. Are there any places to learn jeet kune do in the eastern suburbs or CBD area? I live in Bellevue hill so anywhere less than 25 minutes away from there is fine. Hey guys, some good answers so far. I did do Wing Chun for a while, but I didn't really like it. It just wasn't me. I'm kinda on hiatus, from MA, but I have had experience in Wing Chun, Kyokushin Karate, Muay Thai and Wrestling. I'm starting up a bit of TKD in a couple of weeks with my friend. Hmmm... What do you guys think about Tommy Carruthers Online Club? I mean obviously its not as good as the real thing, but it really is the closest thing I can find.

I was going to recommend you to visit the Jeet Kune Do - Australian Jeet Kune Do Association website --> www.jkd.com.au/Jeet_Kune_Do.htm, but none are really close to you. I've visited a few places, but the styles incorporated varies from place to place depending on the instructor. It might be a good idea to find the styles that only you want to do, take the best from them and incorporate them into your own style. Look at the founder of the concept of JKD - Bruce Lee. He did about 4 years of Wing Chun, and when he went to the US he learnt a bit of Judo, Wrestling, TKD, Boxing, Fencing etc.. No JKD place in Australia does exactly this.. Bruce did it because he thought it was necessary for himself. Now if you went to Smithfield JKD for example, they mostly do Kickboxing and Silat. Thats why i recommend you to pick and incorporate all the styles 'you' prefer, rather than have someone teach you bits you may not be deeply interested in. Oh BTW nice area you live in!

What are some Medicine Schools in Australia

What are some Medicine Schools in Australia?
Im a year 10 Student Currently doing my subject selection forms. I really wish to pursue a career in Pediatric Surgery. As you can tell i'm probably going to take 4 units of science and the standard or requirement of 2 units of english. Math isn't really one of my strong suits however Im willing to work hard. Im not going to take math as a subject for year 11 and 12 but i'm basically wondering What schools offer a Degree in Medicine. I looked at University of Wollongong and their ATAR Cut off would be 83. I want to go to University of Western Sydney however they have an ATAR cut off at 93. If I don't get that ATAR I wont be able to go to that University. Im basically asking if theres any other Medicine Schools who have some lower ATAR Cut offs in Australia. I just want some backup Universities in case I don't meet their ATAR Requirements as Medicine is the thing I want to do with my life. Im not fussy with location and more than willing to move after my HSC Any help you could give Would be greatly Appreciated. E-mail me at Georgtamm@hotmail.com if you need more info thank you :D

Wollongong has the lowest ATAR score for medicine in the country - so if you do not get into that university you will not get into any. If you are not doing maths then you will unlikely pass the interview as this is a pre-req subject for many of the university medicine programs.

Hi, To get an answer to your question, I suggest that you contact TAFE and ask them directly. That way you can rely on the information supplied. You might like to consider another possibility - in Australia there are school-based training programs combined with Trades Training provided by the Australian government for year 11 and 12 students. These colleges offer year 11 and 12 training and also 'hands-on' training in a range of vocational education programs. The phone number to contact is 1300 727 494. Many of the services offered are for young men and women in the Building and Construction Industry, however, depending on where you live, there may be other types of career on-offer. All it takes is a phone call to check it out. If there is a TAFE College near where you live, just call by and talk with one of their people, ask for a Course Information Pack and take pen and paper with you to make notes of phone numbers and any contact names that you may be given. I suggest that you complete Year 10 School Certificate. Very best wishes for your career.
